🚨 Disclaimer & Important Stuff

Welcome to Crypto Coinfused! Before you dive headfirst into the digital money rabbit hole, we need to lay out a few things. Please read this page carefully – it's important!

🧠 Not Financial Advice (NFA!)

All content on this website is for informational and educational purposes only. We're here to explain crypto in plain English, not to tell you what to buy, sell, or HODL. Nothing here should be considered financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, or... you get the idea.

We are not financial advisors, and we're not pretending to be. Always do your own research (DYOR) and speak to a qualified professional if you're planning to invest your hard-earned pounds.

💷 UK Tax & Crypto

In the UK, crypto is taxable – yep, even if it's all floating around in the blockchain ether.

Here’s what you need to know:

Capital Gains Tax (CGT): If you sell, trade, or gift crypto and make a profit over your annual allowance (£3,000 as of 2024–25), you may owe CGT.

Income Tax: If you earn crypto through mining, staking, airdrops, or jobs paid in crypto, it might be classed as income.

Record-Keeping: HMRC expects you to keep detailed records – when you bought, how much, what price, what you sold it for, etc.

❗Crypto confusion is not an excuse for tax evasion. HMRC is getting smarter, so it’s wise to stay ahead.

We strongly recommend using a tax tracking tool (like Koinly or CoinTracker) and, if needed, chatting with a UK crypto tax advisor.

👀 External Links & Affiliates

This site uses affiliate links and may earn a small commission when you click or sign up for services we recommend – at no extra cost to you. We only link to platforms we genuinely believe are helpful for beginners.

❤️ Stay Safe

The crypto world is exciting but also wild. Always double-check URLs, be cautious with unknown coins, and never share your private keys or seed phrases with anyone. Not even your nan.
